[EN] I first rinsed my tea (about 1 tsp) with hot water (about 8 oz.) for about 30 sec. and threw the water, then steeped it about 3 minutes in a mug w/strainer. I found the taste to be rich, deep, earthy and slightly salty, and I was amazed at how smooth it was. A few hours later, I made my 2nd infusion, and steeped it a bit longer, maybe 4-5 minutes. It was richer, smoother and I got the roasted flavor more intensely, almost smoky. My 3rd infusion, steeped about 8 minutes, was still very good, so I went for a 4th one!

[EN] I just discovered Tealyra. As a long time tea sipper, I have been loyal to favorite merchants, but it's an adventure to explore new teas. I have a new fav!! I just got my shipment of some 7 or so teas and it's the best present in 5 years! A box of lovely teas to inhale, sip, savor. Love the packaging too. This Purple Oolong is my first Tealyra sip ... and we're flying. It's mild with a bit of roasty [a note of Hojicha] and needs nothing but a smile to enjoy. Lovely. Further steeping-amounts may earn another star... will see :-)
[EN] Not 3 stars for quality but more 3 stars for the frequency i would choose to brew this one. Very smokey like burnt embers, hint of salt and waves of blueberry. Quite smooth on the tongue too. Be a nice late night sip in front of a fire.
