Lychee

Lychee is a small tropical fruit with a bumpy red shell and translucent white flesh, cultivated for thousands of years in southern China. It adds a sweet, juicy flavor with a perfumed, rose-like floral aroma that is truly unique among fruits. Lychee pairs especially well with black tea, green tea, white tea and oolong, and it sits nicely beside rose petals or jasmine. A cup of lychee black tea is a classic in China, and it is equally refreshing served chilled over ice.
