White Nights – Raspberry Meringue Black Tea

Inspired by the long, bright summer evenings of the north, White Nights is a dessert in a cup. Smooth black tea is blended with coconut flakes, real raspberry bits, rose petals and tiny meringue drops, then finished with a creamy raspberry flavor.

The black tea base gives it body and a warm, brownish cup, while coconut and meringue add a soft sweetness that makes the raspberry taste round and creamy rather than sharp. It is a comforting blend for the end of the day, and just as good as an afternoon treat.

Tasting Notes

  • Aroma: ripe raspberry, cream and a hint of coconut
  • Flavor: smooth black tea with creamy raspberry and a touch of sweetness
  • Character: rounded, dessert-like, never harsh
  • Finish: soft, with lingering raspberry and rose

Why You'll Love It

  • Real raspberry bits and rose petals in the blend
  • Tiny meringue drops for a touch of sweetness
  • Smooth black tea base, medium caffeine
  • Delicious hot, iced or as a creamy tea latte

How to Enjoy

Enjoy it plain to taste the raspberry and rose, or add a splash of milk to bring out the meringue and coconut notes. Over ice it makes a refreshing raspberry iced tea; with steamed milk it turns into a raspberry-cream latte. Pairs beautifully with shortbread, scones and lemon desserts.

Contains egg (meringue).

Some lavender teas are disappointing in their lack of lavender flavor. This tea is full of lavender essence. I was a little nervous that the coconut would interfere, but it just adds to the richness of the tea without detracting from the floral enjoyment. If you love the relaxing aroma and taste of lavender tea, you'll like this one!
