About pu'erh tea blends

Chocolate fans can start with Pure Cocoa Pu’erh or Pu'erh Coconut Cacao. Sweet Pistachio Pu’erh and Pu'erh Vanilla Mint are other popular picks.

For warming spice, try Pu'erh Ginger Treasure or Pu'erh Maple Chai. Cream Earl Grey Pu-erh adds bergamot and vanilla notes, and Tahitian Pu’erh is another favourite. For unflavoured loose leaf and cakes, see all pu-erh tea.

Pu'erh tea blends FAQ

What does flavoured pu'erh taste like?

Pu'erh has a deep, earthy and smooth base with little bitterness. Flavours like cocoa, vanilla, maple and coconut sit well on top, so the cup often tastes rich and dessert-like.

How much pu'erh blend should I use per cup?

Use 1 to 1.5 teaspoons per 250 ml cup and water at 96 to 100°C. Steep 3 to 5 minutes. A quick 10 second rinse with hot water first is optional but brings out a cleaner taste.

Can I add milk to a pu'erh blend?

Yes. Cocoa, chai and vanilla blends take milk well. Steep on the longer side so the tea stays full flavoured, then add milk or a plant-based alternative.

Do pu'erh blends contain caffeine?

Yes. Pu'erh is made from the tea plant, so these blends contain caffeine, often a bit less than a cup of coffee.
