Description

Golden Nuggets Black Pu’erh is a beautiful loose pu’erh tea, harvested and produced at Mount Phoenix, in Pu’erh, Yunnan province in southwest China. The golden tea “nuggets” are formed during the fermentation process, in which the piled tea leaves will heat up to around 60°C, which releases pectin on the leaves, providing a unique flavor.

The Golden Nuggets Black Pu’erh’s buds contain more pectin than leaves; you will notice that the nuggets have abundant golden tips throughout. The tips and pectin release a unique flavour, like dried fruit. Once steeped, you will appreciate the rich earthy aroma, with a slight “funk” initially that disappears during steeping. At first sip, this pu’erh produces a thick, deep-maroon tea soup that is wonderfully clear, is smooth bodied and mellow in flavor. This delightful tea that can be steeped up to 10 times to discover and enjoy its full complexity- with notes that are earthy, fruity, and incredible smoothness.

This tea is really something special. Smooth complex taste with velvet mouthful that lasts for so many steps I've lost count.
I have to be in the mood for most pureh teas, but not this one. It's an easy daily drinker.
Please never stop carrying this tea! There is nothing else even close to it!

Like a ripened plum! Thick syrup if you steep in a Yixing pot. This is perfect after an evening meal and is like sipping on a fine red wine. Smooth, juicy, and sweet earthiness like fresh wet soil. I recommend steeping at a lower level to let the leaves stew a bit before reaching their peak. I typically will not boil my water over 206F as this is just when it begins to simmer.

This tea is quite delicious! It has a full bodied woody, honey kind of flavour, with a natural sweetness to it (but it's not sweet). I absolutely love this one, and will purchase more.

It is excellent Pu'er tea. The taste is strong, complex and clean. The woody flavor is fantastic. I will buy again.
