Caramel is made by slowly cooking sugar until it turns golden and develops its rich flavor, a technique perfected by European confectioners. Small caramel pieces melt into the cup to add a buttery, toasty sweetness with notes of brown sugar and toffee. They turn black tea, rooibos and honeybush into a cozy dessert-style cup, and pair well with vanilla, chocolate, almond, apple and cinnamon. Caramel blends are delicious with a splash of milk or cream.
