Frequently asked questions

What types of Chinese tea are there?

China produces every major type: green, white, yellow, oolong, black and pu-erh tea.

How do I brew Chinese green tea?

Use water around 75–80°C (167–176°F) and steep for 2–3 minutes; boiling water can make it bitter.

Can Chinese tea leaves be steeped more than once?

Yes. Oolong and pu-erh in particular give several good infusions; add a little time to each one.
