¡El Lapsang Souchong se originó en China de forma accidental hace varios siglos! El té se transportaba a caballo al Tíbet y luego a Europa continental, adquiriendo un fuerte aroma ahumado distintivo en el camino gracias a la exposición al humo de las hogueras para calentarse durante las noches frías.

Nuestro Fujisan Souchong es una versión japonesa de este icónico té chino, con un carácter único y claramente japonés, así como un cuerpo ahumado, similar a una hoguera humeante. Libera un sabor verdaderamente japonés. Su hoja es refinada, suave y cálida, complementada con la característica nota de té Souchong.

La madera de cerezo (sakura) empleada para fumar este impresionante té es de Nara, Japón. Para elaborar este delicado té, las hojas de té recién arrancadas (1st flush) de Shizuoka se procesan mínimamente a mano y se fuman con madera de sakura cultivada en la hermosa, limpia y pintoresca prefectura de Nara. ¡Una versión japonesa elaborada con mucha delicadeza de un clásico chino Lapsang Souchong!

[EN] Mind-blowing tea!!!! This tea defies description....you'll just have to try it to appreciate it. If bbq and smokiness aren't your thing, you probably won't appreciate this tea, but if they are, you are in for a stunning treat!!! Enjoy all!!

[EN] Quite addictive in it's complexity. There is a softness to the smoke that is different from lapsang souchongs - the cherry wood is not the only difference here - the black tea leaves are high quality as well. Don't be put off from the price, I have literally gotten 5 steeps western style from 1 tsp of this tea - which was an adventure of complexity as the sweet black tea taste moves forward with each steep and the round smoke recedes like campfire coals late at night. Truly a great fall and winter tea.

[EN] I found this tea to be sweet, rich, and smokey, delicious when I'm in the mood for something a bit special. I have also used it finely powdered as part of a rub for grilled pork to wonderful effect, but this tea is best used for drinking.

[EN] This was my first try of non Matcha Japanese tea. The flavor is wonderfully smokey, almost beef jerky ish with hints of leather and other flavors I cant quite Identify. Its just a wonderfully complex tea. Its the best Ive had in recent years and look forward to ordering more.
