Our 1988 Aged Ginseng Oolong tea is beautifully aged, it is deep, rich, wood like in character, with a somewhat roasted nuttiness. It is crafted by scenting the tea leaves with pure ginseng in Taiwan, and left to slowly age and ferment. The dry leaf has a unique savory, dusty aroma, and when steeped it produces an interesting medicinal, earthy cup of smooth tea. Flavors range from dried fruit compote, burnt-sugar, soy sauce, and wood. Ageing tea makes for an incredibly smooth mellowed-out ginseng finish, that is rich and very interesting.
